Chism family are an internet phenomena

IN the same week a campaign was launched to bring back the world’s greatest Elvis impersonator, Frank Chism, his son also became a Facebook phenomenon and was trending on twitter as it seemed everyone was celebrating ‘Davy Chism Week’.

It all began last week when RTE 2FM DJ Hector issued a call to bring back Ireland’s top Elvis impersonator, Frank Chism from Omagh.

On a dedicated Facebook page, Hector states, “Frank was a man before his time. Selling out venues across Ireland, Frank was the closest thing to Elvis Presley the world has ever seen.

He had the looks, the mannerisms, the vocals, the sweat and the screaming crowds. We call for the return of the King for one more gig.”

And Hector added, “Let’s be Frank about it; let’s bring back Chism.”

In the same week Frank’s son Davy was also making waves on the internet.
As Davy makes plans to leave for Australia, and isn’t sure when or if he will return to Omagh, his mates decided to show the Omagh man how much he will be missed back in his native Tyrone and called on people to celebrate ‘Davy Chism Week’ and it all went crazy from there.
