MIDFIELDERS Aaron Arkinson and Dwayne McManus netted second half goals as Dergview completed a league double over Ards on Wednesday night to continue their rise up the Championship One rankings.
Arkinson, who was making his first start after returning from injury, opened the scoring on 55 minutes when he picked up a poor kick out by Ards goalkeeper Graeme McKibbin and dashed in on goal to beat the home netminder at his near post.
Dergview struck again with some 10 minutes remaining when a clever free kick by Walsh opened the door for McManus who toe-poked home.
Third-placed Ards, as expected, piled forward late on with Ross Arthurs pulling a goal back on 88 minutes.
The visitors though held on for a sixth win in seven matches while the defeat marked the first for Ards under manager Niall Currie.
