New single from Fintona singer Alanna Quinn

Fintona teenager Alanna Quinn has released her second single entitled ‘Hillbilly Pickin Ramblin’ Girl’ in time to entertain the large crowds heading to the Jamboree in the Park in Fintona this weekend. Alanna is hoping that her new venture will be another great success for her.

She has been very fortunate to have the single recorded produced and arranged by the well-known Wayne Thorose and Martin Cleary (from the Robert Mizzell’s Country Kings band) at Ballyrose Media in Roscommon.

Anyone who knows Alanna will know that she is probably one of Robert Mizzell and the Country Kings’ biggest fans and they have hugely influenced her to follow her dream.

“After the release from my last debut single, Robert invited me to come along to his dances and sing before his show,” she says. “This is unreal for an artist like Robert Mizzell who takes the time to listen to a young singer like myself and give me the opportunity to showcase what I would love to do,” said Alanna.
“Robert has also invited me to do the same this time round again to sing with his band the ‘Country Kings’ and I have no doubt that, if you enjoy dancing, when you hear this song you will just want to be on that dance floor jiving.“

Alanna, 16, has been kept busy on the music circuit following the success of her debut single entitled ‘Grandma’s Garden’ which was released in September 2012.

The song has been receiving a lot of airplay in Ireland and the UK, so much so that the DJs were looking for more. In November, Alanna was invited to do two live radio interviews on local stations.

Alanna says, “The response I received from the interviews was overwhelming. It has certainly raised my profile and started to get my name out on the music circuit.”

Alanna has also been invited to sing at various gigs and concerts and of course the switching on of the Christmas Lights in Omagh.

“It was totally amazing to stand on that stage in Omagh and see the large crowds of people fill the streets and to be able to entertain them. So I have to say I am really looking forward to singing on Saturday night in my own home town of Fintona at the Jamboree in the Park as the atmosphere will no doubt be electrifying.”

‘HillBilly Pickin Ramblin Girl’ is available to be requested on all the radio stations. The new single will be available in all local shops and Music Master in Omagh and will also be available to download on iTunes.
