McDaid to sign for Leeds

HOTSHOT Robbie McDaid is expected to sign for  Championship outfit Leeds United.

McDaid, who scored twice in Glenavon’s 4-2 win over Portadown, will sign a two-year deal with the Elland Road club.

The gifted teenager, son of former Glentoran striker John, has been attracting interest from a number of cross channel clubs following his performances for the Tyrone Milk Cup team and the Lurgan Blues.

The talented spearhead recently scored for the Northern Ireland U18 side in wins over Jersey and Guernsey.

The striker has travelled to the Yorkshire club and is expected to put pen to paper in the next 48 hours.

YOUNG Omagh-born striker Robbie McDaid has joined Conference side Lincoln City on loan until the end of the season.
