YOUNG motocross speed king Lewis Spratt has completed a phenomenal first competitive season.
The seven-year-old Omagh speedster competed in four different championships, winning two and finishing fourth and sixth in Ulster and Ireland respectively.
Riding a 50cc KTM automatic, Lewis recorded a clean sweep in the Donegal-based Errigal Championship by winning 18 races out of 18 to claim the title with a round to spare.
The Hospital Road lad also topped the leaderboard in the Bushmills Championship.
Fourth in Ulster further underlined Lewis’s credentials as did his top-six finish in the Irish Championship which ran over six rounds hosted on both sides of the border.
Lewis, sponsored by AR Fabrication, is now looking forward to attending a number of prizegiving events where he will be presented with his many awards, trophies and medals.
Lewis’s dad Mark has also been reflecting on a successful season.
Competing for a 17th consecutive season, Spratt senior finished top of the pile in both the Evo Championships at Bushmills and Errigal.
He, too, was runner-up in the Grade A competition at both venues as well as winning the two-stroke championship staged by the Donegal club.
