Preparations continue for Omagh half marathon

MOMENTUM continues to build towards the 27th Spar Omagh Half Marathon and 5k Fun Run.

This year’s event is being held on Saturday 26th March starting and finishing at Omagh Leisure Complex. Both races this year have a new start time, with the half marathon starting at 11am and the fun run getting underway at 11.10am.


Entry forms can be picked up at any local SPAR store, Omagh Leisure Complex or McGale Furniture on John Street. Alternatively you can enter online via

Half marathon entry is £20 before 6th March and £25 from 7th to close of entry on 20th March, as with last year there will be no entry to the half marathon on the day.

The fun run has a £6 entry fee until 20th March with an £8 late entry fee from there on and can be entered on the morning of the race.

Anyone currently training for the half marathon are welcome to join Omagh Harriers training sessions, further details can be found on the club’s Facebook page.

If you are still thinking of doing the 5K there is still time to register with the popular Run For Enda based at Youth Sport on Monday evenings at 7pm.
