Regarded as the ‘prince and princess’ of country music, Derek Ryan and Lisa McHugh are without doubt two of the most popular performers on the circuit today.
The duo are currently taking a short break from the dance halls as they bring their theatre tours around Ireland, with both set to appear in the Strule Arts Centre in Omagh in the coming weeks.
Glaswegian singer, Lisa McHugh comes to the Omagh theatre on Tuesday, March 29.
With determination and talent to last a lifetime and now having gained thousands of fans, the 26-year-old singer is enjoying the spotlight.
Lisa has won 14 awards to date in under three years including ‘Female Vocalist of The Year’ three years running and ‘Outstanding Achievement on the World Stage’ when she appeared on the Grand Ole Opry – the home of country music as a guest of the legendary Gene Watson.
Before then however, the very talented Derek Ryan takes to the Strule stage on Thursday, March 24 at 8pm.
Derek is well ahead of his dream, he has celebrated his fourth year on the road with his band.
Derek has a huge fan base, stretching as far as Australia, where Derek and the band travelled to last year for their first international tour – which was a huge success.
Derek’s most recent album, ‘One Good Night’ topped the Irish charts, overtaking some big names for the top spot. The album includes hit singles ‘Bendigo’ and a cover of the hit ‘Shut Up and Dance.’
