OMAGH Academicals 1st XV secured county bragging rights by defeating neighbours Dungannon in the Campbell Cup Final at Saturday’s Omagh Sevens.

In an ill-tempered showpiece during which two ‘Gannon players were sinbinned, the Accies ran out convincing winners 29-14 with Stuart McCain and James Catterson among the Omagh try scorers.

In the Waterson Cup Final it was James Kane’s Rent Boys who triumphed 33-5 against Enniskillen while Clogher Valley were the winners of the PJ Ryan Cup after a 17-12 victory over the Mexicans who were making their 19th consecutive appearance in the end of season tournament.
