PODCAST: Anger at ‘special room’ for DUP leader

THE chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has hit out at a special room being set aside for the DUP leader, Arlene Foster, at the count in Omagh Leisure Complex.

Mary Garrity told the UlsterHerald she was unaware of the arrangement being put in place and that everyone attending both the Fermanagh and South Tyrone and West Tyrone counts should be ‘treated equally.’

Two security guards have been posted outside the Conference Room at the facility which has been used exclusively by Mrs Foster and members of the DUP. The UlsterHerald has attempted to contact the DUP about the matter. Alan Rodgers spoke to Mary Garrity.
