The Whistlin’ Donkeys will be performing on Main Street in Omagh on Saturday night.
DROMORE trad sensations ‘The Whistlin’ Donkeys’ are celebrating the success of their latest music video ‘Grace’ as they get set to take to the Main Street stage this Saturday night. The video was released on Easter Sunday, receiving thousands of views and complimentary comments.
The band said, “This is a song that carries a lot of meaning this time of year, telling the story of Joseph Plunkett and the night prior to his execution in 1916. Plunkett was married to Grace Gifford in Killmainham Gaol for a total of seven hours, she never married again.
“A big thank you to our two talented actors Peter Hughes and Clodagh McLaughlin Oscar Bradley for making the video and Mark Donnelly for producing the song. Also a big thank you to Sean McQuaid of SMQ Productions for helping out on the shoot.”
The song is available to download via iTunes or check it out on the Whistlin’ Donkeys
Facebook page. You may also get a chance to hear the song live in the magnificent outdoor stage on Main Street, Omagh this Saturday night, April 29. They pull in huge crowds wherever they perform and have Main Street bouncing whenever they play there. Best of all, admission is completely free.
