OMAGH Ladies will have plenty to celebrate at their forthcoming awards night.

On Thursday evening the 1st XI defeated Cookstown 1-0 in a promotion-relegation play-off at Dungannon (report and pictures in Tyrone Herald) to secure a return to Senior League One.

The winning goal was scored by Irish Schools player Jess Hood just 11 minutes into the play-off decider.

Some 48 hours later the club’s seconds completed a magnificent double by defeating their Coleraine counterparts 5-3 in the Junior Cup Final at Stormont.

Veteran striker Ann Young netted all five goals as the Omagh second string captured the coveted cup to sit alongside the Junior Four League trophy.
