It’s showtime again for Omagh-based performing arts group Skyzdalimit who will present their latest show ‘Love Me, Love Me Not’.
This raucous romantic musical comedy about kids growing up in college comes to Strule Arts Centre on Friday, June 23 at 8pm.
There’s just no holding back this very talented group of actors with a learning disability or autism as they grow from strength to strength with every new performance.
Their new show is their most ambitious project to date and promises to be a roof-raiser. The story follows the antics of High School kids Roy and Pamela who meet at a Karaoke over Winter break. Pamela’s family move and Roy and Pamela discover that they now go to the same school. Roy is the school basketball team pin-up and Pamela is a national chess champion. However, they find it’s not going to be easy as they struggle to resist peer pressure, rivalry and jealousy.
Director, Pearse Mc Closkey said, “As you can imagine rehearsals are at fever pitch and we are all very much looking forward to wowing the audience again. It’s an action-packed feel-good musical for all the family to enjoy as the 30-strong cast dance, sing and act their way through classic hits such as ‘YMCA’, ‘Pretty Little Girl from Omagh’, ‘Time Warp’ and ‘Footloose’.
“I’d like to thank our fantastic fund-raising team, our committee and wonderful rehearsal volunteers for getting us this far and making this production possible. If you have never seen a Skyzdalimit show before then this is your chance to experience that rollercoaster emotion first-hand. Book your tickets now as many left it too late for our last sell-out show.”
