Accies bolster their ranks

OMAGH Accies have bolstered their ranks for the new season by signing three new players while it’s looking increasingly likely Lee Warnock is set to return on a more permanent basis.

Warnock had spent the last few seasons playing soccer with both Ardstraw and Championship One outfit Dergview but was back training with the Accies last week in preparation for the club’s return to the All Ireland League.


Warnock can play centre or full-back and would be a useful addition to Phil Marshall’s youthful squad.

Marshall has added a number of new faces by snapping up the Queens duo of Luke Hanson and Peter Eves and the experienced Simon McCarroll, who has previously played All Ireland rugby with Armagh.

McCarroll and Dungannon man Eves are both second row forwards while Hanson, a former Omagh Academy player, would be regarded as a specialised centre.
