Woman disturbs burglars in kitchen

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a burglary of a house in the Castlecaulfield Road area of Dungannon on Wednesday, July 12.

At around 9.30pm a woman disturbed an unknown male in the kitchen of a house in the area.

This male, who was accompanied by a second male, made off from the scene.


Police responded and two males, aged 40 and 45, were arrested a short time later on Castlecaulfield Road. Both males remain in police custody at this time.

Detective Sergeant Mulholland is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Cookstown Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 1815 of 12/07/17. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
