Omagh v Ardboe championship clash called off

The Tyrone senior club championship clash between Omagh and Ardboe in Armagh has been called off.

In what would have been an historic fixture, the round one game was due to throw in at 8pm.

The game had been refixed for Wednesday evening due to a bereavement in the Omagh St Enda’s club.

With Omagh unable to play in Healy Park, the floodlit Athletic Grounds was deemed the compromise by the Tyrone County Board’s CCC.

However following heavy rainfall throughout Wednesday, the pitch in Armagh was deemed unplayable.

Tyrone GAA has said that details of the refixture would be refixed as soon as possible.

The winner of the game was due to face Greencastle in the championship quarter-final this weekend.
