Safe stolen in pre-dawn Omagh burglary

Detectives in Omagh are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at a commercial premises on the Tamlaght Road early on Tuesday morning, January 2.

Sergeant Johnny Hamill said, “It is believed that at approximately 5.30am entry was gained to the premises and a safe containing a sum of money was stolen.

“We are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity around this time, or anyone with information that could assist with the investigation, to contact detectives in Omagh on 101 quoting reference 187 of 02/01/18.


“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
