Unmarked police car caught up in Dungannon collision

An unmarked police car was one of three vehicles involved in a collision in Dungannon on Thursday morning.

Two people were taken to hospital after the incident on Carland Road shortly before 9.30am.


It’s understood that the crash was not the result of a PSNI operation.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed that a rapid response paramedic and two A&E crews were dispatched to the incident. 

Following assessment and treatment at the scene by paramedics, two patients were transported to Craigavon Area Hospital,” said a NIAS spokesperson.

It’s understood that neither of the two people brought to hospital were police personnel.

The injuries sustained were not believed to have been life-threatening.
