Farrell set for Six Nations debut

Chris Farrell will make his Six Nations debut on Saturday

FIVEMILETOWN native, Chris Farrell has been named in Ireland’s starting XV ahead of Saturday’s Six Nations clash with Wales at the Aviva Stadium.

The Munster centre will pick up his third international cap when he takes to the pitch for Joe Schmidt’s side who will be hoping to maintain their Grand Slam aspirations with a third successive victory after beating France and Italy.

The 24-year-old will replace the injured Robbie Henshaw and will partner Bundee Aki, who he excelled beside against Argentina in November.

Farrell picked up a knee injury during only his second ever Ireland appearance against the South Americans in that match, but he has overcome that knock to force his way back into the international side.
