Cyclist knocked off bike in Omagh hit and run


Police are hunting for the driver of silver Nissan jeep after a cyclist was hurt in a hit and run incident in Omagh.

The man was knocked off his bike at approximately 9.30 am on Thursday morning at the Derry Road roundabout in the town.

The vehicle, described as a jeep-type silver Nissan drove on. The man was left with only minor injuries.


It comes four weeks after two Omagh cyclists narrowly escaped serious injury in a hit and run incident near Beragh. The two women were knocked off their bicycles on the Moylagh Road before the driver sped off.

The PSNI in Omagh are now appealing for anyone with information about the latest hit and run to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
