Up and coming young players at Q-Sports Academy, are in for a treat by getting a great opportunity to play former World Professional Snooker Champion Ken Doherty in the Fintona Club on Wednesday 9th April .

Doherty, who is the only player to win the World Amateur and World Professional Snooker Championship has kindly agreed to visit to perform an 8-Ball Pool Exhibition demonstrating his skill against local young players and others who are willing to challenge Ireland’s cue-sport legend on the night.


Ken will also be available on the night to sign autographs and have photos taken with all players, sponsors and spectators.

Young players who attends Q-Sports Academy will have an opportunity to play in the Ken Doherty Under-14 Snooker and 8-Ball Pool competitions over the next few months with the Grand-Final of the 8-Ball played during the Ken Doherty exhibition with Ken presenting the prizes.

Organisers are asking local spectators to come along and lend their support to these young talented players. If anyone would like to sponsor a trophy for the two Ken Doherty Under-14 competitions which would be very much appreciated by all involved please contact 07563083572.

The Pool Exhibition will take place on Wednesday 9th April in Q-Sports Academy Fintona starting at 7.45pm.
