Jimmy White
THE WHIRLWIND Jimmy White will be the star attraction at a charity snooker exhibition to be held in Omagh later this year.
The six-time World Championship finalist is set to take centre stage in a glamour occasion organised by Omagh and District Snooker League on Friday, October 10.
The event, to be held in Omagh St Enda’s GAA clubrooms, is being co-ordinated alongside Omagh Lions Club with funds going towards supporting Care For Cancer Omagh.
Chairman of the Omagh and District Snooker League Hugh Bradley said it should be an occasion to remember.
“Jimmy White remains one of the biggest draws in the game,” he said.
“Alongside Ronnie O’Sullivan he is one of the great crowd pleasers and it should make for a fantastic night of top class action.
“Tickets have been on sale only a few days and initial indications suggest they are being snapped up pretty quickly. The venue will allow us to accomodate 500 plus people and we are hopeful it will be a sellout.
“This is a great opportunity to see one of the game’s greats while at the same time supporting a worthwhile charity.”
Tickets, costing £10, are available from the Coach Inn, Lairds Jewellers, 147 Snooker Club and Shane’s Barbers. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
