BBC commentator and comedic impressionist of other snooker players John Virgo is set to bring his unique style of entertainment and fun to the eagerly-anticipated snooker exhibition to be held in Omagh later this year.

The Whirlwind Jimmy White is the headline act but the announcement that Virgo is to take part in the glamour occasion, organised by Omagh and District Snooker League on Friday, October 10, will certainly add a new dimension to the entertainment on offer.
Virgo’s commentatory, trick shots and impressions are legendary and his appearance will certainly come as a major boost to the organisers of the charity fundraiser..

The event, to be held in Omagh St Enda’s GAA clubrooms, is being co-ordinated alongside Omagh Lions Club with funds going towards supporting Care For Cancer Omagh.
Chairman of the Omagh and District Snooker League Hugh Bradley said it should be an occasion to remember.

“Jimmy White remains one of the biggest draws in the game but comfirmation that Virgo is also appearing has generated just as mush interest if not more. As everyone who follows the game knows he’s a brilliant entertainer,” he said.

Tickets, costing £10, are available from the Coach Inn, Lairds Jewellers, 147 Snooker Club and Shane’s Barbers or by contacting Hugh Bradley on 07732273165. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
