RESIZE - Irish Passport workshop

Cllr Glenn Campbell gives advice on filling out Irish passports.

SINN Féin in West Tyrone hosted an Irish Passport workshop on Friday to accommodate the increasing number of people who are applying for an Irish Passport.

Cllr Glenn Campbell hosted the event in response to the huge demand for passport applications since the referendum vote to leave the European Union.

“Summer is always a busy time for processing Irish Passport applications.

“However, there has been a considerable increase in the number of people contacting our office and elected representatives to have forms and photos signed, and to access general advice about applying for an Irish Passport,” commented Cllr Campbell.

“To help meet the increased demand, I organised an Irish Passport workshop in the Sinn Féin office in Omagh.

“It is always a pleasure to assist people in applying for an Irish Passport.

“Unfortunately, I cannot offer any advice on how to get a baby or young child to look directly at a camera, although I believe imaginary birdies, cuddly toys, and bribery can help!”
