Man arrested with £8,000 of cocaine in Omagh

Detectives from Organised Crime Branch have arrested a 36 year-old male on suspicion of a number of drugs offences following the search of a vehicle in Omagh this afternoon, Wednesday, November 8.

Detective Inspector Sean Taylor said, “Cocaine with an estimated street value of £8,000 was seized after police stopped a Citroen Berlingo on the Curr Road around 2.40pm this afternoon.

“The PSNI is committed to making Northern Ireland a hostile environment for those in our community who are involved in serious drug crimes. We will seek to identify them, arrest them and place them before the courts.


“Anyone with any information about drugs or any illegal activity should contact police by calling 101. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
