Fresh warning issued for ice on Friday morning

Temperatures are set to fall once again overnight with a fresh warning in place for ice.

Snow is also possible in hilly areas. The Met Office has issued the yellow warning for Co Tyrone from midnight on Friday until noon.

“Following a spell of rain and hill snow, temperatures will fall quickly allowing widespread ice to form on untreated pavements, cycle paths and roads,” said the Met Office.

“Heavy sleet, hail and snow showers will follow. There is a chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.”
