Vote for creative Donaghmore pupils to win dream trip

PUPILS from St Patrick’s Primary School in Donaghmore could be jetting off on the holiday of a lifetime, thanks to their creative skills and YOUR votes.
The primary 7 pupils have made it through to the final of a UK-wide Jet2holdiays competition, after they produced a promotional a video, including an original song for Katmandu Park in Calvia, Majorca.  
Five schools – including St Patrick’s – in each of Jet2holidays’ nine airport regions have been shortlisted and have the opportunity to win the ultimate school trip prize. The trip, will see nine winning classes and their teachers spend a long weekend in April at Sol Katmandu Park and Resort in Majorca where they will take part in fun educational workshops with celebrity hosts including Dick and Dom. The workshops will focus on science, history, drama and crafts, as well as giving pupils all the excitement you would expect from a school trip overseas.
The public vote which opened on Monday, will run until Friday (tomorrow) at 6pm.
Speaking to the Herald, Dera Cahalane who is the principal of St Patrick’s said the pupils had put a lot of effort in their winning entry and urged the whole of Tyrone and beyond to register their votes for the school.

Each regional winner will be announced on Monday, March 19 and the lucky classes will be jetting off to Sol Katmandu Park and Resort in Majorca on April 20.
