Senior football will continue to be played at Darragh Park next season after Dergview emerged 4-1 victors from their promotion-relegation play-off against Queens.

Leading 1-0 from Friday evening’s first leg – thanks to an Adam Dougherty strike – Peter Allen’s side ran out 3-1 winners in this evening’s second leg to maintain their place in the Bluefin Sport Championship.

A second minute strike by Ryan Campbell was cancelled out by Queens striker Ryan McCready to leave it all to play for early in the second half.

However a rasping 25-yard effort by Campbell, aided by a deflection, put the Derg men back in control before Andy Sproule put the issue beyond doubt by converting a low cross by substitute Philip Wallace.
