Duff Balloons

Established in 2016, Ryan Tracey from Duff Balloons started his part time children’s entertainment business with a £5 balloon modelling kit and 2 years later he has developed it to a national level. Ryan is officially the world’s fastest balloon modeller and has had his name recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records three times.

Using this exposure and TV appearances he has expanded his business offering to include party and wedding packages, workshops, motivational speaking and he is currently developing a new programme and an App on ‘Mindfulness for Schools’ plus a You Tube channel. Ryan’s customer base is wide ranging and includes the private sector, community groups, local government and tv companies.

Atmac Construction LTD

Based in Carrickmore, Peadar McMahon established Atmac Construction in June 2016. They are a leading construction and groundwork contractor, working across the island of Ireland and Great Britain specialising in civil engineering works and complete construction packages.

Initially Peader started Atmac Construction from his home but within 2 years it has rapidly grown and now he employs 15 full-time staff members and additional sub-contractors. He has purchased substantial machinery as well as office premises. Where possible Atmac Construction source local labour and materials as they recognise the benefit to their business, community and environment. Future plans include registering for an ISO accreditation, remodelling the business to allow for further employment and ability to tender for main contracts.

The Mellon Country Inn

The Mellon Country Inn is a newly refurbished, privately owned and family run hotel which opened its doors on St Patrick’s Day, 2017. The new owners, the Mahoney family want the hotel to be known for its warm Irish-American hospitality throughout Ireland and beyond. Compromising of 18 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, conference facilities and functions rooms the family employ 34 local staff. Patrick Mahoney, hotel owner, is keen to develop working relationships with local competitors for the betterment of the area as a tourist destination.

The Mahoney family aim to continue to build upon the excellent reputation of their award-winning restaurant and are considering plans to renovate which would increase their function room capacity from 350 to 450.
