A celebration of summer at Grangefest

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is hosting its second annual Grangefest at Grange Park, Omagh on Saturday, June 23 from 1-4pm. Grangefest is a free multicultural family fun day featuring music, dance, drama, sports and much more. The extensive entertainment programme features international artists from around the world together with local school children performing a selection of music and song collectively at the event. LAST Sure Start and Omagh Early Years will have activities for the younger children as well as an appearance by ‘Sing’n Sign with Sam.’ Sam is Makaton Friendly Certified by The Makaton Charity November 2017.

St Eugene’s Brass and Reed Band, Dramatise Youth Theatre, Music Matters and Chemshir’ Folk Dance Group of the Bulgarian Association NI will also be performing at the event. Visitors to the event are encouraged to immerse themselves in the Grange Park with its beautiful open spaces, biodiversity trail, wild flower planting, play park and outdoor gym. There will be face painting and balloon modelling with the ever popular Duff Balloons returning to entertain with a fun balloon sculpture which some lucky Balloon Trail participant will be able to take home after the event!

The Town Centre Balloon Trail will be live to take part in from Friday, June 15 at 5pm through to Saturday, June 23 at 3pm. Participating town centre businesses on the trail will play host to a unique balloon feature in their shop over the course of the week. You are all encouraged to follow the trail and take a selfie with each of the unique balloons and upload to social media with #FODCgrangefest to be in with a chance of winning a range of prizes, the balloon selfie with the most likes will win a special prize on the day. The Trail map will be available to download through the council website from Friday, June 15.

For those who may require some time out during the event there will be a quiet room within the Grange building. There are a number of blue badge parking spaces at the Grange Car Park.
