Shoreline musical festival coming to Enniskillen

Enniskillen’s folk favourites, The Hand Me Downs.

THERE has been a lot of talk, excitement and speculation over the past few months that a brand new music festival is coming to Co Fermanagh.. and today we can unveil that Shoreline Music Fest has a line-up that is sure to attract thousands of visitors to Enniskillen.

Sponsored by Pat’s Bar and supported by Experience Enniskillen, the inaugural Shoreline Music Fest will take centre stage in the grounds of the Stuarts Car park in the heart of the town with the Fermanagh lakes providing the picture perfect backdrop.

The opening night on Friday, August 3 welcomes internationally acclaimed rapper Tinchy Stryder and Reggae-soaked R+B singer songwriter Sean Kingston to the shores with one of Today FM’s most popular DJs, Fergal D’Arcy, MCing and spinning the decks for the fun-filled dancenight.

Saturday, August 4 sees indie pop rock outfit Scouting For Girls headline as part of their tenth anniversary of their first album tour. The ‘She’s So Lovely’ hit-makers will share the stage with Monaghan’s finest singer songwriter, platinum selling Ryan Sheridan, and Enniskillen’s very own folk favourites, The Hand Me Downs.

The finale evening will certainly end on a high with King and Queen of country Nathan Carter and Lisa McHugh performing in their very own ‘adopted’ home town. Antrim’s singer songwriter Kevin Jackson, who came runner up in Nathan Carter’s Search for A Star Competition, will play support and hopefully win over the hearts of the thousands of Nathan and Lisafans.

A spokesperson for the Shoreline Fest committee said, “We are thrilled to eventually be able to unveil the lineup of our first ever Shoreline Music Fest, which has been a working progress for a few years now. We wanted to ensure that the location for this festival was situated right in the heart of the town, so that local hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, taxis etc could all benefit from the thousands of festival goers that we are confident of attracting into the centre of town.

“We are indebted to Pat’s Bar in Enniskillen for taking the leap of faith in us and becoming our titled sponsor and Enniskillen Business Improvement (BID) for their sound advice and support on how to ensure that this festival has the perfect infrastructure to help boost the local economy whilst simultaneously making Enniskillen a destination music festival location.”

• Tickets will be available from local outlets or online via from June 27
