Controversial incinerator plan near Tattyreagh rejected

PLANS to build a major animal incineration plant on a farmyard site near Tattyreagh have rejected by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council following major local opposition.
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council said the application by Erne Gas Services Lt was ‘deemed invalid, and had been returned to the applicant.
The decision has been welcomed by local people who had launched a campaign against the proposal and local politicians.
Sinn Féin councillor, Sean Donnelly, said he was relieved to hear that the application was no longer being considered.
“It was evident from the recent public meeting that local residents did not support this application. I would ask local residents to be vigilant in respect of any further application which the Applicant may seek to bring,” he said.
