Two confirmed dead in Omagh collision

A MARRIED couple aged in their seventies have been confirmed dead following a collision on the Doogary Road outside Omagh yesterday (Monday) afternoon.

They were the occupants of a Volvo car which collided with a red-coloured Scania articulated lorry. The two died at the scene.

The PSNI has appealed for witnesses or anyone who was travelling along the Doogary Road between 2.30pm and the time of the collision at around 2.55pm to contact them.

“I am especially keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dashcam footage of the collision, or believe they saw the Volvo car prior to the collision,” said Inspector Keir Kitt.
