Lost Brothers up for Best Group and Best Album awards

 
The Lost Brothers featuring Ulster Herald columnist Mark McCausland have been shortlisted for two prestigious folk music awards and need your votes.

The Losties are up for Best Group and Best Album at the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards in Dublin later this month. People can vote for best album until this Friday on this link: https://www.rte.ie/folkawards/#nomineesPage

The inaugural awards ceremony will take place in Vicar Street in Dublin on October 25, with The Lost Brothers one of teh acts performing on the night.

The event will be hosted by presenters Ruth Smith and John Creedon and broadcast live on RTÉ Radio 1. In addition, RTÉ Radio 1 will produce five separate folk music documentaries, which will be broadcast in the run up to the awards night.

On the night nine awards will be presented including Best Emerging Folk Artist, Best Folk Album of the Year and Best Folk Group. Tickets to the inaugural awards ceremony, which will be the folk event of the year, are available here from Ticketmaster.
