Further arrest in Pat Ward murder probe

DETECTIVES investigating the murder of 30-year-old Pat Ward in Clogher have arrested a man on suspicion of withholding information, the PSNI have confirmed.

The 44-year-old suspect will also be questioned under the Communications Act after CCTV footage and images of the deceased were shared online.

The body of Pat Ward, who was originally from Sligo, but had been living in Clogher, was found in an alleyway in McCrea Park at around 8.15am on Saturday morning.

Several hours later, detectives confirmed that they had launched a murder investigation.

Yesterday, two people appeared before Dungannon Magistrates Court charged with his murder.

Niall Cox (23) and 33-year old Karen Marie McDonald, both from McCrea Park, Clogher, have remanded in custody to appear again by videolink next month.
