Clubs confirm Irish Junior Cup final to go ahead

THE fonaCAB Irish Junior Cup Final will be staged at Ferney Park, Ballinamallard on Saturday (June 8).

The showpiece decider tradionally takes place on the May Day Bank Holiday which this year was May 6 but was postponed owing to a protracted dispute over the playing of an unregistered player by Bessbrook United.

Following an investigation and subsequent appeal from Bessbrook, beaten semi-finalists Enniskillen Rangers were reinstated to play fellow Fermanagh and Western opponents Tummery Athletic.

Rangers and Tummery both received emails at the end of last week asking for preferred dates and venues and late yesterday (Sunday) the clubs posted on their respective Facebook pages that they had recieved confirmation that the final would take place on Saturday.

The game will kick off at 12noon.
