Shock at death of Drumquin nurse

TRIBUTES have been paid to Drumquin woman, Unagh Gallogly, who died after her car entered the water on Lough Erne at Kesh on Saturday night.

Mrs Gallogly, who was a native of Dromore, was well known and popular in the locality, died in hospital. She had been pulled from the submerged car.

She was a nurse and was aged 55.

Drumquin Parish Priest, Fr Kevin Mullan, said the community was shocked and saddened by what had happened.

“It is a very sad and silent community here now,” he said.

“They are a lovely family. She was always a very happy person, that is the persona she presented.”

Mrs Gallogly was a keen supporter of the Dromore St Dympna’s GAA club and also had strong links with Drumquin Wolfe Tones GAA.
