Pensioner questioned over Omagh pub assault

A PENSIONER was arrested after a man received injuries to his face and hand in an assault inside an Omagh pub at the weekend, the PSNI have revealed.
Police say they received a report that a male had been assaulted inside licensed premises on John Street in the town at around 8pm on Saturday.
The victim, who sustained injuries to his face and hand, received hospital treatment.
A PSNI spokesperson has confirmed that a 67-year-old man, who was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault, occasioning actual bodily harm, has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Constable Primrose said, “I want to appeal to anyone who saw what happened, or has information that can help our investigation to call police via the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 749 of 30/06/19.
“Alternatively, information can also be provided by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
