Motorcyclist seriously injured in match day collision

A MOTORCYLIST sustained a number of serious injuries in a road traffic collision in Omagh yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, the PSNI has confirmed.

The collision involving a black Renault Kadjar, a grey Peugeot 208 and a white Honda GLR 125 motorcycle on Gortin Road was reported to police at around 2.15pm.

The male motorcyclist sustained a number of serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, a PSNI spokesperson said.

The spokesperson added, “The area was busy with traffic attending a match at Healy Park at the time and police are appealing for witnesses.

“Officers would also like to hear from anyone who captured dashcam footage. Please call 101, quoting 1264 04/08/19.”
