Another successful run for the ‘Dashing Divas’

SATURDAY’S Diva Dash 2019 was another successful event for Carmen Runners Athletics Club with superb times once again achieved by the 123 finishers.

The club wishes to thank Carrickmore football club for the use of their facilities and to their two generous sponsors – Magic Moments Photography and PA Duffy & Co.

“We also thank Termon First Responders as always for their first aid care,” said an event spokesperson. “To all our stewards on the road and those that took care of the water stops, thank you. Thanks to Christine Penrose for the fantastic warm-up, wonderful as always.


“Thanks to the Charm Inn and all those who supplied the delicious post race refreshments.

“Thank you to North West Chip Timing, to everyone that kindly donated spot prizes for our draw, Roisin at Nettles and Petals for kindly donating the beautiful bouquets of flowers for our winners.”

Well over 100 ladies started the testing four mile race, with the top three finishers being winner, Natalie Hall, from Armagh, in 24.30 minutes, who was followed closely by local duo, Carmen Runner, Aisling Murray, in second in 24.36, with Omagh’s Cassie Lagan, representing Finn Valley AC third in 24.52.

Age category prizes were won by the following:

16-19, Ellen Glasgow; 20-24, Alisha Edgar; 25-29, Mary McWilliams; 30-34, Gillian Brady; 35-39, Aileen Hurson; 40-44, Elaine Connor;

45-49, Joan O’Kane; 50-54, Wendy Wensley; 55-59, Sandra Wilson; 60-64, Gerardine Brown; 65+, Irene Irwin.

Team winners were Carmen AC.
