Meeting over flood concerns of residents

A MEETING is to take place later this month to discuss the concerns of residents in the Beragh and Sixmilecross areas whose homes have been severely affected by flooding.
Officials from the Department for Infrastructure will meet with local councillors and the three householders affected on October 24.
It follows a flooding study carried out by the Department which turned down calls by the three residents on the Altamuskin Road and Drumduff Road for flood alleviation schemes.
Each of the three properties suffered devastating damage when the rivers close to them overflowed during heavy rain in recent years.
