Strathroy Link Road to open this evening

THE Strathroy Link Road in Omagh will open to traffic this evening, the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has confirmed.

In a tweet posted this afternoon, the DfI stated that the long-awaited scheme, which links the Derry and Strathroy roads, would open once final checks were completed.

It is understood that this will happen at around 6.30pm to 7pm this evening.

Omagh town councillor, Barry McElduff, has commended DfI Roads, Fox Contracts and all the other associated professionals who were involved in delivering the link road, which, he said, would bring “enormous social and economic benefits”.
