Ferney to host NI under-21 international

FERNEY Park, Ballinamallard will host a senior international level game for the first time this evening (Thursday) when Northern Ireland play Hungary in a U21 friendly.
 
It’s the first time that a game of this magnitude has been staged in the Lakeland county although youth internationals have been hosted in Fermanagh in the past.
 
Tonight’s clash is a warm-up game for Northern Ireland’s Euro 2021 Qualifier against Romania at Ballymena Showgrounds on Tuesday evening next.
 
Manager Ian Baraclough has named a strong squad and given admission is free this is a great opportunity for the football fraternity in Fermanagh and Tyrone to see some of Northern Ireland’s future stars in action.
 
Northern Ireland, who finished second behind Spain in the last qualification campaign, have been finding the going tough this time around. Thus far they have drawn with Malta and Finland and lost away to Denmark and Romania.
