“Every single vote will count”- Mary Lou McDonald TD

ON December 12 we face a defining Westminster Election and every single vote will count. We stand on a strong, anti- Brexit platform. The DUP are architects and champions of Brexit. Órfhlaith Begley is the strongest pro-remain candidate in West Tyrone. The only anti-Brexit candidate who can win. So there’s the clear choice.  The people will have to call it. Between the future and the past. Between Sinn Féin and Mé Féin. Some claim they will enter Westminster to stop Brexit. Those making this claim need to give themselves a shake. No Irish elected representative can stop Brexit. That’s the fact. Rather than indulging in the politics of delusion and blind-alleys, Irish elected representatives must act to protect Irish interests where it matters.

Far from the chaos of Westminster – in the Dáil, in the Seanad, in the European Parliament, on Capitol Hill. That is what Sinn Féin has done. No Irish republican would swear an oath to the crown.  We face into a decade of opportunity. The past was for those who seek to divide. The future is for those of us who seek to unite. The old guard can have yesterday. Tomorrow is ours. The next stage of our struggle beckons. The road to Irish Unity runs through it. The road to economic equality runs through it. The road to the republic runs through it.  It is a road we walk together.  Confident. Resilient. Determined. Always looking to tomorrow. Always working hard in our communities. Always standing up for people.  That is the Sinn Féin way and that will never change. So join us in shaping and defining Ireland’s future. This is the decade in which we will deliver this new Ireland. In which we will unite our country.

This is the decade in which we will win the Republic.  On December 12, Vótáil Sinn Féin. Vótáil Órfhlaith Begley X.

Time for Irish Unity- Órfhlaith Begley

SINCE 2016, the political landscape has been dominated by Britain’s Brexit agenda.  A Brexit agenda which we in West Tyrone didn’t ask for, didn’t consent to and one which we in Sinn Féin are opposed to in all its forms.  In 2016, 67 per-cent of voters in West Tyrone voted remain. This cannot be overruled by the Tories in Westminster or vetoed by the DUP in Stormont. Instead of entering the Westminster circus, our MP’s have entered the negotiating table in the Dáil and the EU, where we have argued endlessly for the Backstop, Special Status and most importantly Irish Unity. Irish Unity will not only guarantee us full EU Membership; it will also guarantee us freedom from Tory austerity as well as future British decisions which do not serve our interests.  The latest polling figures have shown that 51 per-cent of people in the North now support Irish Unity, this along with changing demographics and an end to the Unionist Majority confirm that the Time for Unity is now. We are asking you to vote for Sinn Féin in this election, this will strengthen the mandate for a United Ireland, which will give West Tyrone and the rest of Ireland a bright and better future. In the 2017 Westminster Election, 50.7 per-cent in West Tyrone put your faith in Sinn Féin Your votes have allowed Sinn Féin to put Irish Unity to the forefront of mainstream politics Brexit has shown that Ireland’s future belongs in a United Ireland and not in the hands of Tories! Vótáil Sinn Féin. Vótáil Begley X
