TYRONE sportswear firm MFC Sports has pulled off a significant coup by recruiting the services of a former Red Hand footballing legend.
Joe McMahon will join MFC Sports as its Schools and Education Development manager, working within the education sector to promote the company and its products.
MFC was formed by former Tyrone All-Ireland winner, Sean O’Neill and his fellow Dromore man, Fabian O’Neill. Based in Derry, MFC currently supplies playing and training kit to hundreds of clubs and organisations throughout Ireland.
Speaking about his new role, Mr McMahon said he ‘jumped at the chance’ to join the company.
“I’m looking forward to getting out and developing relationships with stakeholders in schools and colleges and letting them see the strength of the MFC offering,” he said.
Director of MFC Sports, Sean O’Neill, said they were ‘over the moon’ to be able to bring someone of Mr McMahon’s stature to the business.
“As well as being one of the finest footballers to have graced the white and red jersey, his knowledge of the education sector will undoubtedly help us to grow what is an important part of our business.
“With his background as a primary school teacher, we hope that Joe will become a key part of the future of MFC and our growth in the market.”
