Meyler hopes trend continues against Donegal

STRAIGHT knockout football has brought out the best in Tyrone players over the years and Conor Meyler hopes that trend continues this weekend.

The Red Hands have come a cropper at the hands of Donegal on an all too regular basis in the Ulster Championship over the last decade, only to regroup superbly in the Qualifiers.

Yet with that safety net gone in this drastically altered 2020 winter format, Tyrone can ill-afford another slip up at the hands of their deadly neighbours at Ballybofey on Sunday.

Lose again at Páirc MacCumhaill, and there’s no scenic route to embark upon, just a few frustrating weeks sitting at home like everyone else watching the battle for ‘Sam’ unfold on television.
