Coalisland man attacked by masked men in own home

A COALISLAND man has sustained head injuries after being attacked by two masked men armed with baseball bats in his own home last night.
 
The men, both wearing balaclavas, entered the house in the Gortgonis Road area shortly after 10pm and attacked the male occupant with baseball bats.
 
A PSNI spokesperson said, “The occupant sustained head injuries as a result of the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident.”
 
Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
 
The spokesperson added, “Anyone with any information or who may be able to help with the investigation, is asked to call police in Dungannon on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 1741 20/01/21, or submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
