Jordan Hyland is enjoying a rich vein of success in America at present.
At the end of March he won the UC Invitational in Charleston and last week he helped his team win the 2021 Mountain East Conference title.
Going into the event at Warren, Ohio, Jordan and his team-mates knew that they were a long shot to qualify for the Regional Championship and that victory was their only option.
That left them with only one aim and it seemed to galvanise the team, who went on to achieve their aim by 15 strokes in the end.
“Our goal for this semster was to go to Regional’s, where we play against all the teams from the New York area and the north eastern part of America,” the Omagh man explained.
“But you had to be top eight in the region and going into Conference we were sitting outside of the exemption spots, so we needed to win Conference to get into the Regionals.”
