Local practice listed in NI’s top 40 best law firms

Local firm McCay Solicitors are to be listed in the Belfast Telegraph’s Top 40 law firms in Northern Ireland.

The top 40 list is compiled by independent body Statista following a range of surveys with those within the legal industry.

The law firm which is headquartered in John Wesley Street and has branches in Derry and Omagh was founded in 2015 by former Sion Mills native Gareth McCay.

The firm started out as a niche employment law firm and has since grown to a team of 10 providing expert advice in a number of other areas such as commercial law, property, probate, litigation and clinical negligence.

Speaking this week, Mr McCay said, “I am delighted that our team has been recognised in this way. When I started the firm I wanted to bring the ethos and service levels that I had experienced working in large firms in Belfast and Manchester and provide something here in the north west for the business community.

“I started with myself, a secretary and a laptop so it is fantastic that the business has grown to this level and that our fantastic staff have been recognised by their peers in this way

“This honour is down to our people. We have recruited a fantastic team who are committed to excellence and going the extra yard for our clients.

Thank you also to the many clients over the past six years who have put their faith in us, it is very much appreciated.”
