TALENTED Moy forward Harry Loughran has been forced into early retirement due to a chronic back injury.
Loughran, who is 26 years old, played a massive role in the Moy’s unforgettable run to the All-Ireland Intermediate title in 2018, the highlight being his dramatic game-winning goal against Kerry side An Gaeltacht at the last-four stage.
He was also part of the Tyrone set-up for the last number of years, but he was dogged by back injuries which severely curtailed his progress.
Even so, he made five appearances for the Red Hands in their run to an All-Ireland final appearance in 2018, scoring a crucial goal in a memorable qualifier victory over Donegal on the last day of the super eights.
His involvement has since been limited, and although he underwent surgery in 2019, it emerged this evening that his footballing career seems to be over.
